On my first day back at the office in January of 2014, I committed myself to switching drafting over to a popular computer program called Sketchup. I'd been applying myself to it since the Crash of '08, when free time was abundant.
I call myself a Late Adopter, always reluctant to buy into the latest gadget or technology. But I'm so glad I made the jump, because it's fun & flexible (when not aggravating). Most important, it's good for my clients who can visualize my design without knowing how to translate arcane blueprints into 3-D reality.
Here, a living room/kitchen stretching off the side replaced a small rear mudroom.
