Prairie with Pergola

This prairie style home in rural Dodgeville features a brick and stucco exterior in warm, earthy colors.  The home is situated on a narrow slice of flat ground between a road embankment and a steep valley.  The resulting site plan provided for a full walkout lower level facing the valley, a semi-detached three car garage with the third bay accessed from the side and a circular driveway bordered by a massive stone retaining wall.

The walkout basement is shaded by a natural cedar pergola.  The main area, framed by cedar posts, shelters a stone patio.  A bracketed trellis gives cover to the corner windows.
