Contemporary Makeover

This early 1990’s raised ranch home already looked dated by the time of this remodel in 2004. The home lacked access and views to a beautiful back yard, the kitchen was composed of a monolithic bank of drab oak cabinetry, and three different floor coverings chopped up the living space.

The new owners opted for a fresh, contemporary look with natural maple cabinetry and flooring, white woodwork, and plenty of windows. An angled island anchors a post at the transition between flat and cathedral ceilings. Black metal banisters replaced a drywalled half wall.

A reconfigured master bath with frameless shower enclosure, tiled tub surround and pedestal sinks transform the formerly boxy space.
