The historic arsty town of Mineral Point now has a modern addition in the Lind Pavilion. Located on the campus of Shake Rag Alley Center for the Arts, it has extended and enhanced programming for classes & events of all sorts.
For years, it stood on this prominent crossroads as a dreary remnant of post-World War II, when surplus Quonset Huts were pressed into service...in this case, an auto parts store. Transformed in the flamboyant style of "Highway 66", it now welcomes visitors to look, and participate.
Design concept by Amber Westerman, final Construction Drawings by Schmit Engineering of Dodgeville, material specifications, colors, and interior design by Carla Lind and the building committee at Shake Rag Alley. Photos by Ben Russell of Mineral Point.
